Tenure Track Position and Contractually Limited Position, School of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University
Applications are invited for one (1) full-time tenure track position and one (1) full-time Contractually Limited faculty position in the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, McMaster University. Under the leadership of its Associate Dean, Catherine Tompkins, the School of Nursing is going through an exciting period of curriculum renewal and research enhancement. McMaster University is research-intensive and perennially rated as the most innovative university in Canada. One of three professional schools within the Faculty of Health Sciences, the School of Nursing offers undergraduate, graduate and continuing education and, as a member of a larger faculty, provides opportunities for interprofessional education and research. Tenure Track: Successful candidates will have a PhD in nursing or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed, or are currently involved in, post-doctoral training. Evidence of a focused program of research and publication is required. Eligibility for career award funding is highly desired. Expertise in mental health or neonatal nursing is desirable. Eligibility for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required. Academic responsibilities include involvement in the research activities of the School and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Contractually Limited: Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Masters degree in nursing or a related field. A PhD or near completion is preferred. Expertise in mental health or neonatal nursing is desirable. Eligibility for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required. Academic responsibilities include involvement in the research activities of the School and teaching at the undergraduate level. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
