Duties:
Under the direction of the Department Head, Business and Social Sciences, this tenure track position in Business Management is required to contribute to teaching, research and service with emphasis on both industry-targeted applied research and peer-reviewed publication. Teaching assignments may be at the diploma, degree, and/or graduate levels according to areas of expertise and the ongoing needs of the Department of Business and Social Sciences. In addition, undergraduate and graduate thesis supervision and professional service to NSAC and the industry are required.
Qualifications:
Candidates are expected to have a Doctorate or alternatively, a Masters degree and three years independent research and/or teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Expertise in one or more of the following disciplines and their sub-disciplines is required: finance, management, marketing, small business entrepreneurship, retailing, and international business. In addition, the ability to apply expertise to agriculture, food and related industries is highly desirable. Candidates must show promise in scholarship activity, teaching and research. Furthermore, relevant experience in the business community will be valued. Additional assets include substantiated abilities to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting, high levels of resourcefulness, innovation, leadership, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills in all forms.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with education and experience.
