The Faculty of Science at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Human Anatomy and Physiology at the Assistant Professor level beginning July 1, 2010, subject to budgetary approval.
Applicants should have a PhD, evidence of commitment to and superior ability in teaching, and an active program of research with strong potential for external funding and a commitment to graduate training. Post-doctoral experience would be an asset. The successful candidate will have teaching expertise in the area of human anatomy and physiology. The ability to teach a variety of health-related undergraduate courses (e.g., epidemiology, chronic disease, vulnerable populations, introductory health, and research methods) would be an asset. In addition, the successful candidate's research program should be closely aligned with the field of health or the biomedical sciences. The successful candidate will join an existing department within the Faculty of Science most closely aligned with their academic background but will primarily be a part of and contribute to the teaching needs and development of the new and growing program in Health Sciences within the Faculty of Science.
