Three 3-year renewable term Instructor Positions
Applications are invited for the above-noted full-time term positions in the Department of Nursing & Health Sciences. These Instructor positions involve classroom and nursing practice teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate program. We are seeking faculty members with expertise in a variety of practice areas including acute care nursing, maternal-child nursing, and community development. Candidates for all positions must be eligible for registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick and maintain registration when appointed. The anticipated date of employment is July 1, 2010. All appointments are subject to final budgetary approval.
The minimum educational requirements for the positions are a completed Bachelor degree in Nursing, and a Master degree (completed or in progress) in Nursing or a health-related discipline. Nursing practice experience and demonstrated clinical leadership skills are required. University teaching experience is an asset for the position.
The Department of Nursing & Health Sciences is part of a fully accredited provincial nursing program and offers baccalaureate nursing education through a basic four-year full-time stream, a post-RN degree completion stream, and a baccalaureate degree in Health Sciences. The Department also collaborates with the Faculty of Nursing at UNB Fredericton to offer a MN program. UNB Saint John is located adjacent to a large teaching hospital.
