Lecturer or Assistant Professor, Strategy and Entrepreneurship

The Dalhousie School of Business Administration invites applications for a two-year limited-term appointment in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2010.

The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will be teaching courses in the areas of strategy and entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate levels within the School of Business and for students in the Faculty of Engineering. Mentoring and advising students outside regular teaching assignments is also an essential component of this position. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the re-launch of the MBA / MEng program. Applicants should have a MBA or a PhD in Business. Having a background or degree in Engineering would also be an asset.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the applicable theory and course materials in strategy and entrepreneurship and be able to apply these concepts to either business or engineering contexts. Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant teaching experience in the strategy and entrepreneurship subject areas. Having industry experience in the areas of new product or service innovation, administration or project management is also an asset.
