UNB Faculty of Nursing Full Time Positions-Fredericton and Moncton Campuses

The University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Nursing invites applications from qualified individuals for 5 full time positions in the BN Program. These are full time tenure track faculty appointments in the Instructor or Nurse Clinician stream, beginning July 2010. Rank of each appointment will be commensurate with educational preparation and experience.

In Fredericton:
Applications are invited for two Tenure Track Instructor positions involving clinical and classroom teaching responsibilities in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of the BN program and in the Advanced Standing Program. Professional expertise for these positions is required in mental health nursing practice (community and acute care), or chronic illness/rehabilitation nursing practice. Teaching responsibilities will include classroom instruction in these areas of practice, as well as instruction and supervision of clinical practice and coordination of related clinical placements.

In Moncton:
Applications are invited for two Tenure Track Instructor positions involving clinical and classroom teaching responsibilities in all years of the BN Program. Professional expertise is required in acute care nursing (medical), community health nursing and maternity nursing. Teaching responsibilities will include classroom instruction in these areas of practice, as well as clinical instruction, supervision of clinical practice and coordination of related clinical placements

Qualifications: A Bachelor and Master's degree in Nursing (or significant progress toward the masters degree) is required. Candidates must possess a demonstrated ability to teach effectively in practice and classroom settings. Recent relevant teaching experience in a university setting is a significant asset. Registration or eligibility to obtain registration with the Nurses' Association of New Brunswick is required.

In Fredericton:
Applications are invited for one Tenure Track Nurse Clinician position involving clinical teaching in the 1st and 2nd years of the undergraduate program and in the Advanced Standing Program. Teaching responsibilities will include clinical instruction, supervision of clinical practice and coordination of related clinical placements.

The Faculty of Nursing, University of New Brunswick

The Faculty of Nursing offers baccalaureate programs preparing nurses to work with individuals, families, and communities guided by the principles of caring, social justice, and primary health care. The BN Program is delivered in Fredericton, Moncton, Bathurst, Saint John, and in collaboration with Humber College in Toronto. The MN Program prepares nurses in advanced practice, with concentrations in advanced practice as nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist or nurse educator.
