Renewable Term Appointments

The University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Nursing invites applications for full-time renewable term Instructor appointments in the undergraduate programs at UNB Fredericton, UNB Moncton and UNB Bathurst. Rank of appointment will be made at a level commensurate with the qualifications of applicants.

Applicants for 2 Fredericton positions should anticipate teaching responsibilities for 12 months per year in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd years of the BN program and in the Advanced Standing Program. Clinical expertise is required in the following practice areas: chronic illness/rehab nursing, community health and mental health nursing. Applicants for one Moncton position should anticipate teaching responsibilities for 9-10 months per year. Clinical expertise is required in chronic illness/rehab nursing, and in acute care (medical) nursing practice. Applicants for 2 Bathurst positions should anticipate teaching responsibilities for 10 months per year. Clinical expertise is required in chronic illness/rehab nursing, acute care medical-surgical or pediatric/maternity nursing.

Successful applicants will be involved with clinical and classroom teaching and coordination of clinical courses. Instructor responsibilities also include membership and participation in governance and decision-making in standing committees of the Faculty.

Graduates of the UNB undergraduate Nursing programs are eligible to write the CRNE and prepared to work with individuals, families and communities guided by the principles of caring, social justice and primary health care.

Qualifications: A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred and registration or eligibility to obtain registration with the Nurse's Association of New Brunswick is required. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and recent relevant clinical and/or teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program are also eligible to apply.
