MULTIMEDIA AND CULTURAL STUDIES/POPULAR CULTURE
The Faculty of Arts at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton invites applications for two positions in Multimedia Studies and Cultural Studies/Popular Culture and/or Film Studies:

1. a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing 1 July 2010
2. a 9-month, limited term position at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing 1 August 2010

The successful candidates for the two positions will have a functional understanding of, and experience with, substantial technical aspects of Multimedia and New Media technologies and will teach 1-2 term courses annually in one or more areas of Cultural Studies, Popular Culture or Film Studies in addition to courses in Multimedia (for a total of 5 term courses/year). Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, hold a doctoral degree or equivalent, and provide evidence of a developing research agenda in an appropriate area. In addition to teaching and research, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to service and administration in the Multimedia Studies program and in the Department of Culture and Language Studies. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in innovative curricular development in an emerging and expanding field of study. Review of applications will commence on 30 March 2010.
