Description of Position:
Silta Associates is an Ottawa-based consulting firm established in 2005 specializing in the fields of education and evaluation ( http://www.siltaassociates.com ). We are currently seeking a part-time, contract junior - intermediate research consultant. This position would be an ideal work opportunity for individuals currently enrolled in graduate studies who are looking for supplemental employment. The research consultant would be required on a periodic contract basis to conduct research tasks such as survey design, data collection and analysis for on-going projects.
Qualifications:
- expertise in the practice of research, obtained through graduate-level academic education or equivalent (knowledge of evaluation and / or statistics would be an asset);
- demonstrated knowledge of the field of education;
- proficiency with data management and statistical software: MS Word, Excel and internet search (familiarity with SPSS would be an asset);
- ability to work independently to a set timeline; and
- fluency in English and French.
