CHIEF OF PSYCHOLOGY

Baycrest is conducting a search for the Chief of Psychology at Baycrest. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the clinical, research, and academic programs in Psychology at Baycrest, and serve as Director of the Cognitive and Behavioural Health Program. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree and be eligible for certification as a Psychologist by the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Located on a 22 acre campus in Toronto, Canada, and fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, Baycrest is an academic health sciences centre focused on the aging experience and the implementation of novel, transformative methods to deliver senior care to optimize physical and mental wellbeing. Psychology at Baycrest provides clinical services focusing on healthy aging and disorders of aging such as dementia and stroke. Eight psychologists provide neuropsychological and cognitive rehabilitation services in inpatient and outpatient settings at Baycrest as well as at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and West Park Healthcare Centre. Psychology faculty also conduct clinical research and supervise students in our CPA-accredited neuropsychology internship program.

As the leader of the research program in Psychology, the Chief of Psychology is expected to be cross-appointed to the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto, and to the Rotman Research Institute or the Kunin-Lunenfeld Applied Research Unit of Baycrest Centre. The Chief of Psychology is expected to contribute to scholarly activity in these units in the form of teaching and research, and the promotion of their scientific collaboration with the Department of Psychology at Baycrest.
