Tenure Track Position in Industrial Engineering and/or Engineering Management
The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications from outstanding individuals for one or more full-time tenure-track positions in the general areas of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. Salary (as per collective agreement) and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a result of our currently expanding undergraduate and graduate programs, we are particularly interested in high quality candidates capable of teaching or research in the areas of:
- project management
- people management
- innovation and knowledge management
- engineering finance
- ergonomics and/or human factors
- facility design
- manufacturing systems
- other areas of Industrial Engineering
The successful candidates will be required to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise undergraduate and graduate students, establish a viable, externally-funded research program and assist in the administrative duties of the department and faculty.
Candidates must hold a PhD in an appropriate engineering discipline or expect to receive one before July 1, 2010. Research and/or industrial experience beyond a doctoral degree is desirable. Successful candidates will be expected, in due course, to register as a professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
