Tyndale University College (http://www.tyndale.ca) is a private, trans-denominational Christian post-secondary educational institution offering liberal arts and professional undergraduate degrees within a faith-based context. The University, located in north Toronto, is pursuing a strong growth strategy which it believes will result in increased enrollment over the next decade.
The Department of Psychology, Tyndale University College, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment beginning in the fall of 2013.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach six undergraduate psychology courses per year, including basic and advanced research methods, introductory and upper-level seminar courses in an area of specialization, and to supervise honours students in their thesis research projects.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Psychology or expect to complete the same by the time of appointment, demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching, have established a long-term research program and share Tyndale's commitment to liberal arts education in the context of a gender-balanced, culturally diverse curriculum and community. For appointment at the Associate Professor level, candidates will have compiled a significant record of scholarship, teaching and service. The successful candidate will be eager and able to integrate faith and learning in their scholarship and teaching.
