DAN Program in Management and Organizational Studies

The DAN Program in Management and Organizational Studies is an innovative and rapidly expanding interdisciplinary undergraduate program in the Faculty of Social Science (FSS) at Western University (UWO) with approximately 2,700 students enrolled. This unique program combines management studies with a strong foundation in the social sciences. Candidates demonstrating a commitment to working in an interdisciplinary environment will be preferred. FSS is the largest faculty at UWO with over 6000 undergraduates and 400 graduate students enrolled, and it is one of the largest and top-ranked social science faculties in Canada. Close to one half of all FSS students are enrolled in the undergraduate DAN Program, and plans to offer a graduate program are currently under development.


Applications are invited for a Limited Term full time appointment for a period of one to three years (negotiable and renewable) at the rank of Lecturer in Accounting. The DAN Program is fully accredited by CGA and CMA, and all accounting courses are accredited by ICAO. Candidates for this position must have a CGA, CMA, or CA designation and be prepared to teach to these accreditation standards. This is a full time teaching position (research is not a component of the workload in this position). Applicants must possess a strong record of excellence in teaching ability, or evidence of potential in this area. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad cross-section of undergraduate courses in Accounting, and contribute to ongoing curriculum and program development.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with previous performance, qualifications and experience in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The effective date of appointment is negotiable.

London is situated approximately half-way between Toronto and Detroit with excellent access to these centers by car, train, or air.
