University of Ottawa - School of Music: Professor in Violin
The School of Music, University of Ottawa, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in violin at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, effective July 1, 2013.
Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent professional experience in a broad range of repertoire, including contemporary music. The School of Music is seeking a candidate with a significant national or international performance profile and with extensive teaching experience. The successful candidate will be expected to instruct in both French and English. The candidate's organizational and interpersonal skills will also be considered as part of the review process.
Responsibilities will include teaching individual violin lessons and chamber music at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate will also actively participate in administrative committees at the School of Music and in the development of curriculum offerings. The candidate will be expected to continue his or her performing/research career. Salary is commensurate with qualification and experience in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
