Associate Vice-President (Facilities)
Memorial University of Newfoundland

Shape the Future

Positioned on the edge of North America, Memorial University of Newfoundland is the home of 21st century explorers. We are perfectly positioned, in fact, amidst Newfoundland and Labrador's boom in oil and gas exploration and recovery, mineral exploration, ocean industries and natural resources mega-projects. In alignment with the immense opportunities in the Province, Memorial University is engaging in significant campus development and renewal. We are seeking a visionary leader to help shape Memorial for decades to come.

Consider this: as the chief physical resources officer, you will have broad responsibility for leadership in strategy, operations, capital development and renewal for a multi-campus university and its affiliated centres and institutes. Reporting to the Vice-President (Administration and Finance), you will be responsible for creating and sustaining the physical environment and the service culture that supports and advances the teaching and learning, research, and public engagement frameworks of the university. As part of the restructured administrative portfolio, you will be an integral member of the team leading the portfolio.

In terms of credentials, you have senior leadership experience in major, complex, multi-project, multi-site construction, and facilities operations environments. With an extensive background in engineering or related field, you have proven abilities to translate a vision into reality. As a visionary, strategic and inclusive leader, you are committed to the highest standards of excellence, integrity, accountability, and stewardship. Possessing a reputation for working collaboratively with internal and external constituencies, you have demonstrated an ability to explore new options, inspire commitment, foster innovation and deliver results. To learn more, please contact Lloyd Powell or Dan Martin at 709-722-6848 or submit your application online at http://jobs.kbrs.ca/Careers/9688/

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority. Memorial University is committed to employment equity and especially welcomes applications from all qualified candidates, including women, members of visible minorities, Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities and members of sexual minorities.
