University of Ottawa - School of Music: Professor in Voice

The School of Music at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in voice at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective July 1, 2013.

Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent professional experience. The School of Music is seeking a candidate with a significant national or international performance profile and with extensive teaching experience. The successful candidate will be expected to instruct in both French and English.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active performing/research career. He or she will also be responsible for overseeing the activities of the vocal sector and will teach individual voice lessons at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Other duties may include teaching vocal skills and vocal literature courses, as well as seminars, supervising the Opera Production, developing curriculum offerings, and participating on departmental- and faculty-level committees. Salary is commensurate with qualification and experience and will be consistent with the Collective Agreement.
