Ambrose University College seeks to appoint a Dean of Arts and Science to begin July 1, 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter. Ambrose is an evangelical institution of higher education affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada, and the Church of the Nazarene, Canada. Ambrose currently offers nine baccalaureate programs approved by the Campus Alberta Quality Council, as well as a range of other undergraduate and graduate programs through its Faculty of Theology. The dean answers directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and works with program chairs to lead the work of the Faculty of Arts and Science. The successful candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent in a field relevant to the Faculty of Arts and Science, and will have significant teaching and administrative experience at the post-secondary level.
