The School of Nutrition and Dietetics invites applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track (Position # 20703) at the Assistant Professor level, commencing on July 1, 2013. Selection will be based on the candidate's academic qualifications, teaching experience and the extent to which teaching areas and research interests complement the School's needs. Teaching commitments will focus on sensory evaluation and food product development, although the successful applicant will be required to teach other courses in the program. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing projects through the Centre for the Sensory Research of Food which is linked to the Rural Innovation Centre at Acadia University. The development of an externally funded research program, the supervision of students in the Honours Program and contributions to the internal and external community will be an expectation of the position. An earned doctorate in a related field is required, and the candidate should have experience and training at the graduate level in sensory and consumer science, with an appreciation and an understanding of nutrition.
