Ryerson University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management.

Located in downtown Toronto, Canada, Ryerson University is known for its career-driven undergraduate and graduate studies; innovative niche programs; scholarship, research and creative activity with a direct impact on current issues; far-ranging partnerships; and a demonstrated role as a city-builder and innovator. Ryerson offers more than 100 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral-level programs, distinguished by a strong commitment to teaching excellence, and research and creative activities. Externally funded research has doubled in the past five years to a current total of nearly $30 million. Ryerson has 38,900 students and is home to Canada's largest university-based school of continuing education, with over 70,000 enrolments in adult education at the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education.The University is proactively dedicated to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in all of its activities.

With state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Toronto's business community, the Ted Rogers School of Management recently received AACSB accreditation and is Canada's largest undergraduate management school with more than 8,000 full-time students. It is recognized for its innovative and unique undergraduate and graduate programs. Bachelor of Commerce degrees are offered in Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Business Technology Management, Health Services Management and Retail Management. A Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance is scheduled to launch in Fall 2013. Graduate programs include a broad-based, internationally focused MBA with a variety of specializations and an MBA and MMSc in the Management of Technology and Innovation. The School is committed to research that immediately contributes to the future success of its students, faculty, business in Canada, and the nation's economy, and has twelve research Centres/ Institutes/ Facilities.

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President Academic as part of Ryerson's senior administrative team, the Dean will be an inspiring academic leader with a strong commitment to serving the needs of students and promoting teaching, research, and the overall reputation of the School. He/she will possess an open and collegial style, outstanding management, communication and interpersonal skills, a creative and entrepreneurial approach to problem- solving, and the ability to inspire a dedicated faculty and staff. The Dean will preferably have a record as an outstanding academic administrator, with experience in advancement, building collaborative teams, and relating to a range of internal and external partners. The Dean will facilitate and enhance the endeavours of all areas of the School.
