Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Human Genetics

Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine invites applications for a tenure track position as a Canada Research Chair (CRC) Tier 2 at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology. The successful individual will establish an independent research program that will align with an inter-disciplinary team investigating inherited diseases. The human genetics team is comprised of clinicians, clinician scientists, and basic researchers committed to providing better diagnostics and improved therapies and outcomes for patients with inherited diseases. The CRC is a strategic position with the goal of recruiting an exceptional emerging researcher into a program of true translational research moving seamlessly from the molecular to clinical settings and back.

The successful CRC holder should be a dynamic researcher within 10 years of their PhD degree who has the potential to become a nationally or internationally recognized scientist. Areas of priority include but are not limited to bioinformatics, pharmacogenomics, and gene discovery and analysis.
