Thompson Rivers University anticipates openings in the following disciplines in Summer Session 2013:

*Required for Visual & Performing Arts: Please send a full CV, 10-15 images of current artworks on a CD, and accompanying image list.

University Preparation:

Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics and Physics


To instruct courses in the specified disciplines. Instructors may also be required for laboratories associated with some courses.


  • Ph.D. is required in many areas, including the Faculty of Arts
  • Master's Degree; Bachelor's degree may be considered in certain disciplines (applicants should contact the individual faculty or school for specific information)
  • Relevant teaching experience with adult learners is required in all disciplines
  • Teaching certificate or Instructor's Diploma (for University Preparation disciplines)
  • Formal TESL coursework (for ESL courses)
  • Two years' experience instructing in an academic ESL program (for ESL courses)

SUMMER SESSION TERMS: Courses may be offered in one or more of the following sessions:

Session 1: May 6 - June 21, 2013
Session 2: June 24 - August 9, 2013
Session 3: May 6 - August 9, 2013

REVIEW DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: Applications will be reviewed commencing January 15, 2013, and may continue until positions are filled.
