Assistant Professor, Information Systems & Decision Sciences

The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences in the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Vancouver Campus, is accepting applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Decision Sciences (operations management, management science and statistics) with a secondary emphasis in Information Systems, to start on August 15, 2013.

Fairleigh Dickinson University, founded in 1942, is a private (not-for-profit), coeducational university with an enrollment of more than 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students from throughout the U.S. and around the world. The University's Metropolitan Campus is located just 10 miles from the heart of New York City, and the College at Florham campus is located 35 miles from New York City near historic Morristown, New Jersey. As part of its global mission, the University established a new campus in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 2007, offering undergraduate degree programs in business administration and information technology. In addition to Vancouver, the University also has an overseas campus in Wroxton, England.

Silberman College of Business, with about 2000 students on its New Jersey campuses and more than 100 students on its Vancouver campus, offers AACSB-accredited undergraduate and MBA programs, and partners with New Jersey, New York City and Vancouver business communities in delivering globally-oriented business education programs. The College is home to the Institute for Sustainable Enterprise, The Institute for Forensic Sciences Administration and the nationally recognized Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a Decision Sciences-related field from an AACSB-accredited institution (or ABD nearing completion of dissertation), with a minor in Information Systems, showing evidence of or potential for high-quality teaching and research.
