McGill University - Department of Physics Position: Applications of Holographic Methods, Research Associate.
A Research Associate position is available from 30 December 2013 in the group of Brandenberger, Cline, Das Gupta, Maloney, Moore, and Walcher, in the department of Physics at McGill University, to study applications of holographic methods.
Candidates should have a PhD in Physics with a minimum of 4 years of postdoctoral training. The candidate must have experience in holographic techniques applied to condensed matter physics, particularly the physics of topological insulators. The candidate must also have a background in cosmology, including the application of holographic techniques to the perturbation spectrum, and the study of baryogenesis and the implications of inhomogeneities from baryogenesis on nucleosynthesis. Ideally the candidate should also have expertise in nuclear matter at high density and color superconductivity.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This grant funded appointment runs for 9 months. The deadline for applications is 1 March 2013.
