Tenure Track Position in European History and Catholic Studies

St. Mary's University College invites applications for a tenure-track position in European History and Catholic Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor effective 1 July 2013. In the discipline of History, the successful candidate will be part of a team of faculty responsible for teaching a first year seminar course on the History of Ideas which is part of the Liberal Arts core at St. Mary's. In addition, the applicant should be able to teach in two of the following areas: Medieval, Early Modern or Modern European History. In the field of Catholic Studies, the applicant will be required to teach courses on the History of Christian Thought and Catholic Social Teaching.

Candidates must have completed a PhD at the time of appointment and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and a record of or potential for on-going research and scholarship.
