Film Studies - Assistant Professor

Carleton University Film Studies, located in the School for Studies in Art and Culture, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2013.

Applicants may have expertise in any aspect(s) of American/Hollywood cinema, although specializations in animation, silent cinema and/or film sound are of particular interest. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses within his/her areas(s) of expertise, and other undergraduate courses at all levels (including surveys), as well as to supervise graduate students. Applicants must have a Ph.D., a strong commitment to scholarship as reflected in publications, an active research profile and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
