The Faculty of Education of the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a one year term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership. The successful candidate will teach in our graduate program in the area of Educational Administration and Leadership and will have duties within the faculty as a whole. The appointment, subject to final budgetary approval, will commence July 1, 2013.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a doctorate focusing on Educational Leadership. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarly research and publications, excellence in his/her teaching and be willing to participate in province wide leadership projects linking the university, the provincial Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the New Brunswick Teachers Association. Experience designing and providing professional development for school leaders or aspiring school leaders is also an asset. International experience is also an asset as the successful candidate may be provided the opportunity to teach in projects focusing on leadership in schools in partnering countries.?

The successful candidate will take a leadership role in design and delivery of graduate courses related to Education Administration, Leadership and Management. The candidate may also be required to teach in the undergraduate Bachelor of Education program and help supervise pre-service teachers in school practicum, thus public school teaching is also an asset.
