The Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge seeks to fill a one-year term appointment in Evaluation and Assessment in K-12 Education to start July 1, 2013.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Be fluent with current theories and practices in areas of expertise
  • Teach primarily undergraduate program courses and supervise pre-service practicum students

Qualifications include a completed Masters degree in an area related to Evaluation and Assessment; a minimum of five years successful K-12 classroom teaching experience; eligibility for teacher certification in Alberta (B.Ed. or equivalent); and a broad background in evaluation and student assessment. The ability to integrate communications technology into the teaching repertoire will likewise strengthen applications for this position.

Applicants are asked to indicate other areas of expertise relevant to teacher preparation. The successful candidate will demonstrate exemplary teaching skills and a willingness to teach in blended or off-campus programs. Experience in Alberta schools demonstrating knowledge of and experience with current school assessment models and/or work with First Nations students will enhance applications.
