The Department of Philosophy at Mount Allison University invites applications for a 9 month full-time sabbatical replacement position, subject to budgetary approval. Candidates should have a PhD in Philosophy or one nearing completion, and have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and a deep interest in the history of philosophy. Courses to be taught are: a first year introductory course in philosophy called "Reason, Will, and World" (see http://www.mta.ca/faculty/humanities/philosophy/ for description ); an introductory course in Logic; a two-course sequence in the History of Analytic Philosophy; and a fourth year seminar in Philosophy of Mind.

The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence August 1, 2013 and end April 30, 2014. Submissions must include a letter of application with curriculum vitae, transcripts, three letters of reference, teaching dossier and a sample of writing.
