The Faculty of Agriculture, Dalhousie University is a small research-intensive campus located in Truro, NS. Offering technical, undergraduate and graduate programs in agriculture, environment and related life and social science disciplines, the Faculty of Agriculture educates future leaders and generates knowledge and innovative solutions for healthy, sustainable societies.

Applications are invited for a full-time tenure track position with rank and salary appropriate to qualifications and experience within the Department of Business and Social Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, located on the Dalhousie Agricultural campus in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Applicants should have either a Ph.D. in business or a DBA (or be very close to completion at the time of application). Evidence of teaching capacity and research ability in the following areas is required: logistics, value chain management or operations management. A record of independent research and scholarly publications is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of agri-food systems.

The successful applicant will teach diploma and undergraduate level business courses with the potential to teach at the graduate level. He or she will be expected to carry out research dealing with food value systems or operations management in the agri-food sector with the intent to publish in scholarly journals. Attracting and maintaining research funding is expected. Building strong connections with the agri-food industry both from a teaching and research standpoint will be essential. The applicant must have a strong commitment to teaching.
