BIOLOGY INSTRUCTOR - Competition 13-36

Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Faculty of Science and Horticulture is currently seeking applications for a full-time regular faculty member in our Biology Department, to develop and teach a selection of the following courses in the new B.Sc. Biology degree program:

Third Year:
Botany
Research Methodology
Zoology

Fourth Year:
Animal Physiology
Developmental Biology
Evolution
Molecular Biochemistry
Directed Studies
Senior Research Project

The position also offers opportunities to engage in research and outreach.

The position commences September 1, 2013.

The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, a Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in an appropriate field of biology, coupled with experience in curriculum development, and demonstrated excellence in teaching at the post-secondary level. Research experience beyond graduate studies is desirable. The successful applicant must have excellent written and oral communication skills that enable them to teach effectively in English.
