With roots dating back to 1975, Cumberland College has adapted over the years to meet the needs of North East Saskatchewan. Partnering with First Nations communities and striving to support local industry, Cumberland College plays a significant role in meeting provincial demands for adult education and skills training. With the impending retirement of the current Chief Executive Officer, Cumberland College is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the strategic initiatives of the organization.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is a forward thinking leader who carries out the mandate of Cumberland College and listens to the voice of the community. You appreciate the role of a regional college in providing education and training in rural Saskatchewan. You are enthusiastic about the complex new challenges in provincial labour market development.

Continuing partnerships and exploring new opportunities for growth you will develop relationships with local business, First Nations communities, along with industry, education and government stakeholders. With masterful and diplomatic communication methods, you connect your vision to stakeholders and the media using your public relations skills.

Adept at strategic planning, you take a collaborative approach calling on the board and executive management to execute the strategic vision. A keen knowledge of financials, you provide executive oversight to the financial and budgetary functions of Cumberland College. You motivate college staff and endorse a positive climate to promote teaching, learning and cooperation.

You have a masters' degree in education or administration complimented by 5-10 years of strategic upper level management in a unionized environment. Experience in post-secondary education is preferred.
