Limited Term Position


The Department of Earth Sciences, St. Francis Xavier University, invites applications for a one-year Limited Term appointment commencing August 15, 2013. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or be pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the Earth Sciences or a related discipline and must show strong potential in research and teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in the Environmental Earth Sciences and Geophysics. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

Housed within the Physical Sciences Complex at St.FX, the Department of Earth Sciences is widely recognized for the high quality of both its research and teaching. All Earth Sciences faculty are actively engaged in externally funded research programs. A Master of Science program is available in the department, while Ph.D. students can be supervised through other Nova Scotia Universities.
