Our next dean of medicine will write history.

The College of Medicine at the U of S is looking for a dean who is ready to join our determined leadership team and write a new chapter in health-care education.

We have ambitious goals, and we're putting the pieces in place to achieve them.

We have identified "One Health" as one of our signature areas, which means we are committed to providing global leadership in this area. Our Health Sciences project is the largest capital investment in our history and will bring health-care colleges from across campus into one building. Partnering this new building with existing campus facilities like the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and VIDO-InterVac gives us unparalleled health research possibilities. Plus, we are continuing to fill these cutting-edge facilities with brilliant, passionate faculty and staff. Our "One Health" approach has the potential to revolutionize health-care education.

The College of Medicine is currently home to over 700 students at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. As the province's only medical-doctoral university, our college provides innovative programming province-wide and we are always seeking new ways to strengthen our teaching and research. We need someone who has the ideas and drive to create a bold, strong future for our university.

We want to be number one in medical education. We want to be a health-care education destination for faculty from around the world. We want a dean who is courageous, inspirational and competitive. We want you to help us write our new history.

The University of Saskatchewan is strongly committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace that empowers all employees to reach their full potential. All members of the university community share a responsibility for developing and maintaining an environment in which differences are valued and inclusiveness is practiced. The university welcomes applications from those who will contribute to the diversity of our community.
