Senior Instructor - One term position (ending June 30th, 2016)

The University of Manitoba, Faculty of Pharmacy is seeking applications for one full-time, term (ending June 30th, 2016) Senior Instructor position to begin September 1, 2013. Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants should, at a minimum, possess an undergraduate pharmacy degree, and significant pharmacy practice experience and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy.

Major responsibilities for the position will include teaching in the professional pharmacy program particularly in the pharmaceutical sciences section of the curriculum including, however not limited to Introduction to Pharmacy (PHRM 1000), Fundamentals of Pharmaceutics (PHRM 1300) Pharmaceutics/Biopharmaceutics (PHRM 2270), Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab (PHRM 3320) and Pharmacology Lectures (HYGN 2280). This position will also represent the faculty on relevant professional and academic organizations and committees.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is looking for a self-motivated individual with demonstrated commitment to collegiality and an ability to work with a richly diverse population of faculty, staff, and students. The individual requires excellent organizational and communication skills, and working knowledge of word-processing and spreadsheet software applications. Applicants should be committed to the profession of pharmacy, to the principles of adult education, and to the concept of life-long learning.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is located at a new state-of-the art teaching and research facility on the Bannatyne Campus at the University of Manitoba. Approximately 200 undergraduate and 20 graduate students are enrolled at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
