The Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at University Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital and Women's College Hospital, an academic health science community fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, is recruiting a Clinician/Scientist to the Division of Neuroradiology. The successful candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Anticipated start date is November 1, 2013.
The successful candidate must have an MD degree or equivalent, be fellowship trained in diagnostic neuroradiology and be eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario. While being able to cover the entire field of diagnostic neuroradiology, the successful candidate should have specific interests, or experience, in imaging related to neurodegenerative diseases and dementia. He/she should have formal background training (PhD or MSc) in the field of Clinical Epidemiology, Comparative Effectiveness and Health Services Research or specific plans to complete dedicated training in this field. Candidates should have experience in working positive amongst large neuroradiology and multi-disciplinary clinical teams. He/she should have a successful track record of publishing and demonstrate superior teaching skills as a candidates will be an integral part of the teaching faulty of our Residency and Fellowship programs.
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The JDMI is a large academic department equipped with 13 MRIs, 22 CTs including four 320 slice CT's, 66 Ultrasounds and 15 Angio Suites across three hospital systems staffed by 73 Staff Radiologists, 65 Residents, 100 Fellows and 35 Research Support Staff.
The JDMI Division of Neuroradiology supports very busy Neurology and Neurosurgery services across different hospital sites and is committed to the highest level of patient care, teaching and research.
