CREATIVE WRITING INSTRUCTORS - Competition Number 13-125
The Department of Creative Writing at Kwantlen Polytechnic invites applications for part-time non-regular type 1 (contract) instructors. We are also looking for faculty to be added to our contract qualified faculty list. Candidates must have at least two books or produced projects (which might include screenplays and plays) and a significant profile in their area(s) of specialization; they must be active in their profession and have a current record of publications and involvement in the writing community.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated the ability to teach from at least one of the following genres areas: Fiction, Non-fiction, Poetry, Screenplay/Drama, and/or New Media.

Applicants must have a Master's degree or equivalent in Creative Writing or a related discipline. Preference will be given to those candidates with academic distinction and/or awards, along with relevant teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Applicants must be willing to teach online and be flexible about class times.
A complete application includes a letter of application, curriculum vitae, copies of transcripts, a statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of undergraduate teaching success, and a list of three professional referees able to comment on your teaching ability and academic accomplishments.
