Huron University College opened its doors in 1863 and is the founding college of Western University. Its mission is to provide a university education of the highest standard through its undergraduate degree programs in the Arts and Social Sciences and its post-baccalaureate, graduate and professional degree programs in Theology. On its 47 acre campus, Huron's 1300 students and 135 faculty and staff enjoy the activity and resources of a large university and the sense of community that is found on a small campus.
Huron University College is seeking an Executive Director, University Advancement to provide leadership to and oversight of Huron's revenue development, donor and alumni engagement, and oversight of its endowments through the Huron University College Foundation. As a member of Huron's Leadership Team, the Executive Director will provide the vision and strategy, while also conducting daily operations, to significantly increase revenue generation and alumni and donor engagement. Leading a strong and capable team, the Executive Director will foster a collaborative and supportive environment both within the advancement team and across Huron. S/he will work to continue Huron's strong donor engagement while expanding its fundraising in the areas of annual giving, corporate development, planned giving, major individual giving, special events, and alumni services.
As the ideal candidate, you are a trusted partner, a collaborator and consensus builder, and an inspiring leader and manager. A highly respected and proven fundraiser, you possess a broad knowledge of industry best practices and trends and have a demonstrated track record of success from working in fund development with an academic institution. You display diplomacy, maturity, sound judgment, and an appreciation for Huron's religious traditions. You are articulate, learned and confident in your abilities to create positive change, challenge the status-quo and in earning the respect of Huron's internal and external community. You have exceptional communications skills and an aptitude for mentorship, community engagement, talent development, and team building.
